It’s one of those little surprises it throws at you just before your brain can comprehend it without a strong dose of coffee.

It was a portrait of a girl wearing Mexican death mask makeup (at least thats what we were calling it) on a harshly blue grey background. The original was quite desaturated but I quite like the blown out colors of my image.

Something different on this wet and rainy Thursday evening :)

Photographer Ian Ruhter captures some amazing wet plate photos in fantastic settings. He is one of the few people I’ve see who’s video shows the frustration and heartache that comes from a delicate creative pursuit.

There were some crazy things happening with tinfoil, glad wrap chains and hand cuffs and we are still not sure if the model survived. Only time will tell

I had come home the previous night at 12:00 from an amazing dinner with friends at a resturant in the back of a high fashion clothing store to start glueing foan together for a fancy hat.

5 hours sleep and a lot of coffee later I landed up taking the picture below.

I’m pretty happy with it for a 10 minute shoot :)
